What does my registration include?

Main conference

Workshops

How do I get to Snowbird?

Transportation is provided via a shuttle bus for those who have registered for the MAIN MEETING AND WORKSHOP. If you are attending the workshop only, you will need to coordinate transportation on your own from the airport. Additional information on transportation options can be found here.

When should I check in and check out of the hotels?

Registration opens on Thursday night at 4pm. There is also a keynote speaker and welcome reception. The conference ends around 4pm on Sunday at the Marriott. Workshops will begin at 8:00am Monday morning in Snowbird, and the final workshop will conclude at 7:30pm Tuesday night. A closing banquet will follow the final workshop session on Tuesday. Most attendees check out on Wednesday.

Why is the rate for Snowbird so high when I can find a cheaper rate online?

The Cosyne group code is for rooms at the Cliff Lodge. The conference rate is the cheapest rate available, and all other rates are for buildings in the Lower Villages – not the Cliff Lodge. You are not required to book a room at the Cliff Lodge; however you will be responsible for using the resort transportation if you stay at a different property. When booking rooms in a different property, please note that you are with the Cosyne group.

What's the aspect ratio of the projector used at the Marriott?

Projectors at the Marriott are set for 16:9 (widescreen) aspect ratio.

How many travel grants can I apply to?

You can apply for more than one grant program. For example, if you are a student attending Cosyne for the first time, you are presenting a poster at the main meeting, and your advisor is also attending the main meeting, you can apply for the New Attendees Grant, the Presenters Grant, and your advisor can apply (on your behalf) for the Mentorship Grant. No applicant, however, will be awarded more than one travel grant.

Do I qualify for a particular travel grant?

If you are attending Cosyne for the first time you qualify for the New Attendees Grant. If you are the presenting author on an abstract submitted to the main meeting you qualify for the Presenters Grant. If you and your advisor attend the main meeting, your advisor qualifies for the Mentorship Grant (on your behalf).

Can we submit after the deadline?

No. All Cosyne deadlines are final.

I need visa to travel to Cosyne. What should I do if I need to apply for visa before the review results are announced?

We are aware that applying for visa can be a long and complex process. In general, meeting attendees do not need to wait until their submission is accepted to obtain an invitation letter. If you have questions about visa for Cosyne conference, please contact Denise Acton at cosyne.meeting+denise [at] gmail.com.
